Camilia Restaurant Ruwi for Dinner

Since the area is still quiet we took a meal in Camilia Restaurant Ruwi before work starts again tomorrow. I’ve been a customer since 1986 and guess this is probably one of the longest established restaurants in Oman. I suspect Camilia has had several managers over its history and the current person must be the best there has been.

From the remarkably genuine welcome onward, we were impressed by the manager, whose face was new. I ordered Lamb Chops. my standard choice when available as invariably, in this type of restaurant, its unavailable making a menu a lucky dip.

The manager nicely firmed up the first choice to avoid changes and found out that we would wait to have the Juice with the meal. An unexpected Salad arrived, which was tasty. Our main course came with little delay, Hummus and Chicken was the second mains order. The food was reasonable in taste, certainly as good as far more expensive similar meals – and the chef added a patch of colour to my plate with Water-cress and red Onion. A nice choice of restaurant to eat in with good, quick service and tasty food.
