Since the area is still quiet we took a meal in Ruwi’s Camilia Restaurant before work starts again tomorrow . This is probably one of the longest established restaurants in Oman. Its changed management several times I suspect and the current operators must be the best there has been.
From the remarkably genuine welcome onward we were impressed by the manager. We ordered Lamb Chops, which seem unavailable in all other restaurants of a similar type, then after checking the menu chose an additional, different dish.
The manager nicely firmed up the first choice to avoid changes and found out that we would wait to have the Juice with the meal. An unexpected Salad arrived, which was tasty. Our main course came with little delay, Hummus and Chicken was the second order. The food was reasonable in taste, certainly as good as far more expensive similar meals – and the chef added a patch of colour to my plate with Water-cress and red Onion. A nice choice of restaurant to eat in with good, quick service and tasty food.
