The Muscat Festival is one of my favorite regular events in Oman. Its close to home, has variety and at the right time of the year.
Last year it was cancelled, I think because of the swine flu, so it will be nice to have it back as the dates have been announced as 27 January – 24 February 2011.

My dear wife and I have visited Muscat festival twice, and would like to visit again. Are the local taxis now metered…..
the taxis are still unmetered and it more than pays to agree a price before using one
from 2005 until 2007 I have been living in Oman and I loved
the Muscat festival. In 2011 I will be there as a tourist.

The festival may be changed to once every 2 years – so 2015/17/19 etc
Ah – but it is open again this year Jan 2015
