Located in Azaiba the Oman Association for the Disabled is one of the oldest organizations who support disabled people in Oman.

With a second office in Sohar they are focused on northern Oman. Today I called into the Muscat office

to return a piece of equipment that we had borrowed temporarily. Mrs Wohda Sharif who is also the sign languages specialist has looked after my occasional small requests for temporary use of equipment with a great deal of patience. As today is International Women’s Day – it was nice to photo Mrs Wohda at her desk.

Spread throughout Oman is the Alwafa Social Center a voluntary social association that support disabled members they have 23 branches in different areas of Oman they ensure that irrespective of location a disabled person is not so far from support.

Though these are semi government organizations there is a donation site were money can be put into the organizations bank account to help people throughout Oman. http://www.donate.om/donationsportal/Pages/Page.aspx?NID=3326
