It was good to meet Hassan Meer who co-curated the Red Bull ‘Canvas Cooler’ art exhibition in the Stal Gallery Oman.
A range of artists living in Oman were asked to use a Red Bull Cooler as a canvas. Though Hassan is an accomplished multi media artist, amongst many other achievements, his work wasn’t on display.
Contemporary portrait artist Sarah Al Balushi was one of the budding artists selected for the event to decorate a cooler.
Raya Al Maskeri was also involved, using her mask-like faces to fill the cooler’s space.
The gallery was overflowing with an appreciative young crowd, many of whom were actively seeking out each artist to understand their work.
