June though its mid-summer is often not as searing as May, that’s often because the rise in humidity also drops the temperature; so Oman’s Top 5 things to do June takes that into account. This year the start of June is part of the month of Ramadhan, and probably the 4-6 June will be Eid, so do take that into account when making plans.
So here are the top 5 things to do in June in Oman.
One of my favourite photos is this of Arab Horses in Oman decked out in traditional silver. Marco Polo wrote about them in his book ‘The Travels’ – “and the merchants take a great number of Arab horses to that market (of India from Al Balid)”
As the 18th May is International Museum Day I thought
it would be nice to have a picture from Oman’s Land of Frankincense Museum in Salalah, probably my favourite Museum in Oman.
If you are interested in learning more about Frankincense, Oman is the source of Boswellia Sacra and my book ‘The Land of Frankincense’ has over 180pages about this mystical product and the land it grows in.
