After a drive from Muscat, via Nizwa, we arrived in Dhofar where the tail end of a weak Khareef (Monsoon) season was still evident. Most of Dhofars beaches are soft white sand, beloved by Humans and not surprisingly animals.
Having been together in the heart of all the storms before the National Day holidays it was great to fly down for some Salalah Sunshine with a couple of tourists so they could ‘dry themselves out’!

Our guests here on their Oman Holidays and Camels, though dwarfed by the sand dune they needed to ascend, eventually made their way to the top and , importantly, back down.
Here in Oman Camels are not confined to Oman’s sand deserts – and a souvenir photo makes a good reminder of the many different places they are found .
