VISITING THE TEMPLE OF SETI I AT ABYDOS EGYPT its the finest temple in Egypt

I MADE ANOTHER VISIT TO ABYDOS 🇪🇬 and was extremely fortunate that (the soon-to-be Dr.) Hani (director of antiquities at Abydos) spared the time to show me part of his amazing workplace.

I VISITED KARNAK TEMPLE IN LUXOR when it was without the crowds

I WAS ABLE TO VISIT KARNAK TEMPLE WHEN IT WAS EMPTY, 🇪🇬 apart from the staff – check my video of this visit at the end of this blog .  I’ve visited the magnificent site at Karnak perhaps a dozen times, but my most memorable visit wasn’t this one but my first, when I explored Egypt in mid-summer 1985.

Tropic of Cancer Oman and my magazine article about it

I chased the sun through Oman along the Tropic of Cancer

On my search for the Tropic of Cancer Oman I almost literally crawled up the slopes of Jebel Misht and then made a very tired stumble back into the car – saw sunset in the Rub Al Khali and had a puncture on the way out.
