Muscat was wet and dreary when the Splendour of the Seas arrived in Mina Sultan Qaboos
The weather in northern Oman has been unusually wet over the last few weeks. Heavy storms coming down from the north have brought rain, hail and flooding in some areas. So the weather was far from splendid when the Splendour of the Seas docked in Mina Sultan Qaboos.
to be joined in Muscat by Seabourn Legend in a couple of years
Joining the Costa and Aida ships, Brilliance of the Seas is now a regular arrival for us in Muscat bringing people for a visit into Oman
As its a new destination for her it will take time for the cruise excursions to be tailored to her passengers needs but I am confident that Muscat will be one of her more popular port calls in the Gulf cruises.
Loaloat Al Behar at berth in Mina Sultan Qaboos Oman
With the arrival of the Loaloat Al Behar in Mina Sultan Qaboos, Oman’s Ministry of Tourism enters the Cruise business. This was the last yacht of H.M. Sultan Qaboos and was given to Oman’s Ministry of Tourism on arrival of the new very splendid Al Said – its replacement.
Loaloat Al Behar has been refitted in Dubai as a mini (if that’s the right word for 100meters) cruise ship or maxi yacht. Though the deck does not have a pool it does have a mini Jacuzzi is available to cool off in. It will probably appeal to large families or a holiday with friends .
