Tonight is a night of celebration for a distant neighbour, Abdulaziz Al Wahaibi, as it’s his wedding.

Glittering Omani silver Khanjar and Sword worn with Turban and Shaal are nowadays almost de rigueur for weddings in Muscat and elsewhere in Oman.

Looking extremely smart he, with family and friends, set off towards his home.

As with many Omani weddings, at least the modern traditional in Muscat, a musical band literally piped Abdulaziz through the neighbourhood with the bagpipe’s music and drum beat resonating through the area.
