The Land of Frankincense is the guide to the sites associated with Frankincense in Dhofar, Oman. The book includes 8 locations (including 4 UNESCO sites) and the history associated with the resin and tree.

Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is a guide written for the layperson who wishes to understand more about this superlative building. There is a chapter within the book for each individual area in the mosque to include the gardens and both prayer rooms.

The success of the Oman guide resulted in an eBook guide to Muscat. This covers Muscat's background, sites to visit along with information about key hotels and restaurants. This is available as an eBook though a variety of sites.
Oman's Ministry of Tourism kindly sponsored this book on Oman's UNESCO sites and three other government ministries supported the content with suggestions. Their input enabled this hardback coffee table book to be published in 2013, with photography by me. Its available through Amazon and in bookshops in Oman.
This book was a pleasure to work on - as I was also lecturing on a small 100 passenger 'expedition' ship. In November 2012 I stepped on board the small cruise ship 'Clipper Odyssey' as a lecturer.
I wrote about the exploration and provided a few images for a souvenir book 'Sands of Time' sent to each participant.
These booklets represent a project in co-operation with Oman's Ministry of Tourism - where I wrote all the text, and provided custom-made maps and most photography. They are up to 75pages in each booklet, to give an idea of the tourism in each governorate (11 in all) in Oman, with a separate booklet for Arabic and English making 22 booklets.
