A Singapore based organisation has issued a ‘Top Halal Friendly Holiday Destinations – 2014’ listing. The main criteria taken into account in the ranking includes its suitability as a family holiday destination, the level of services and facilities it provides for Muslim travelers and the marketing initiatives of the destination targeting this segment Oman is at number 11.

Since the area is still quiet we took a meal in Camilia Restaurant Ruwi before work starts again tomorrow. I’ve been a customer since 1986 and guess this is probably one of the longest established restaurants in Oman. I suspect Camilia has had several managers over its history and the current person must be the best there has been.
