  1. while living in Oman from 2005 to 2007 we

    tried several times to visit Hoota caves with
    guests but we did not succeed. They told us only
    a limited group of people was allowed into
    the caves. We will visit Oman in January, 2011
    and will try again.


  2. Just book in advance, and try to avoid the rainy season as it might be closed for a while after floods.
    Went there in early December last year (late afternoon on a Friday, I think) and it wasn’t very busy…
