London was in bloom
for the International Media MarketPlace 2019, at the QEII Centre.
This annual event is a chance for the tourism business to meet the travel media of Britain and Europe so that there is an increased awareness of what each business can offer. Well organised by TravMedia, most especially in the efficient pre-planning stage I looked forward to the day.
The QEII Centre, which has several floors of meeting halls, is an excellent choice of venue with extremely convenient transport links, and what seemed to be dozens of taxis queued around the corner at the call of delegates.
I liked the concept of the event, in effect speed-dating where commercial organizations have a short meeting with media so both can find out more about-each other and perhaps create the start of a long association.
An unexpected treat was lunch, remarkably a fully plated, waiter served meal for about 500 people.
