Its been announced that the Design & the Project Management of the construction

for Muscat Duty Free has been awarded to ODG from Dubai . According to ODG the retail area will be 7,000sqm to serve 12million passengers. The contract to manage the Duty Free was re-awarded, after tender in early 2016, to the existing contractor Oman Sales and Services (OSS) a partnership between Oman Air and Aer Rianta International (ARI). ODG had worked with OSS on the design as part of the tender process. The announcement comes after the Oman government has confirmed that the airport will open by end of 2017 . The airport opening has been previously delayed from 2013 .
