Ras al Khaimah will hold 33rd America’s Cup

a great event for Ras al Khaimah

The neighbouring Emirate to Oman, Ras al Khaimah, will hold the 33rd America’s Cup as landlocked Switzerland has nominated the Emirate for 2010 . Congratulations Ras al Khaimah.

Sitting next to Musandam the event might well come into Omani spectacular waters

With 11 wins in 20 starts by Masirah, Oman’s racing boat, Oman really should try and put an AC33 yacht and team in for the America’s Cup 2010

  1. Oman was considering agreeing to be the host; but prudently, as there are so many large projects in this relatively small country , decided that they could not guarantee all facilities would be up and running in the time needed. Ras al Khaimah feels they can make that guarantee.

  2. Hello Tony, Many thanks for commenting on the John Barry Bar on my blog. Your blog is terrific! Is the America’s Cup sailing regatta really going your way? That’s hard to believe. I was at Newport, Freemantle and San Diego. Must come visit you. – All the best, Bill Kelly at the Jersey Shore – New Jersey USA

  3. Lovely website from Oman, especially the photos. Would you mind if we exchange postcards from our countries. I am from Philippines. In return I can send you a postcard from my country and feature your site on my blog.
