The Royal Opera House in Muscat Oman held three evening performance by Military Bands.

The Royal Guard, the Royal Oman Army, the Royal Oman Air Force, the Royal Oman Navy, Royal Cavalry and Camel Brigade provided the principal performances, noteworthy a very good ‘jazz’ style drum performance.

A group of performers from the Russian Army in St Petersburg gave an energetic display, while a more sedate but no less impressive one was given by combined groups from Garmisch-Partenkirchen a town long associated with Sultan Qaboos. The Military performance has increased by a night each year its been held, and with free entry on a first-come-first-served basis would benefit from being held in the Qurm Amphitheatre.
