Oman’s Vehicle Sales in 2013 – over 200,000 sold – where will they all fit

Vehicle sales in Oman continues to rumble around the 200,000 unit mark annually. In 2013 another 204,880 units joined the existing road inhabitants.

For a couple of years sales have been around 200,000pa so its quite possible that by 2020 there will be over 1 million more vehicles on the roads of Oman leading to the question (especially as there isnt a Public Transport System in Oman) – how will they move and park in Muscat?

The 2013 figures seem much higher than an annualised version from the Times of Oman, however the sales push over Ramadhan may explain the difference especially looking at Toyotas alone .
